What is an MCN?
Created by the Michigan Nursery and Landscape Association in 1980, the Michigan Certified Nurseryman (MCN) program is our state's industry standard of excellence. In order to receive this designation, members are required to pass a three-hour university level exam. This exam tests their general knowledge of Michigan's nursery and landscape industry, their ability to identify plant specimens and their skills in landscape planning and design.
An MCN is a proven specialist in the Green Industry. They are dedicated professionals who have sought to improve themselves to provide you with the best service possible. MCNs are insightful in the areas of solving landscape problems through proper design, plant pests and diseases, weeds and weed control, watering and soils, fertilizing, pruning and plant identification.
Sandra was awarded an MCN in 2005, and maintains her designation through continuing education and community service.
